Regular players will notice that some of the Baskets have finally moved at “The Alex.”

The county wanted the GDGO to wait until their corporate DG contest was over before moving any pins.  It’s over now and baskets will be moving on a schedule of 3 pins every 2-3 weeks. New pin positions are described after the break.

The Alex is finally open and the first tournament on the property was held on 27 June, 2009.  (pictures)

The reviews of the course are generally good.  It’s great to have a second Disc Golf course in Gwinnett County and it is certainly appreciated by old and new players alike.  Click here for some reviews of the course.

Though some of the tournament paperwork was lost in a crazy hyzer on hole 17,  the top three in each division of the tournament are posted after the break.

The park officially opens on Junt 13th. Come see the new course and get in some practice before the tournament.

Due to a later than expect park opening, the GDGO was forced to change the date of the Grand Opening Tournament.  The new date for the Alexander Aerial Armada is June 27th 2009.

Though we regret the change, we hope the new date will allow more people to participate in the tournament.

Tournament Registration

Gwinnett County will be opening Alexander Park sometime in March of 2009.  The Park will feature a new, tournament quality Disc Golf course.

The GDGO will be holding a grand opening tournament in April. Check back for details.
